Sony and Alt VFX called Code on Canvas for one of the most fun AR treasure hunts we've ever worked on. To promote the release of Ghostbusters Afterlife we deployed a Web AR treasure hunt at Westfields Shopping Centres around the country (and later in New Zealand!). Fans were invited to hunt through the centres and uncover a series of four different posters that would unlock different Ghostbusters gear from the new film.

Once they had collected all of the items they then got to partake in an epic ghost battle with Muncher himself, hitting him with proton beams to get him nice and weak before inevitably deploying the trap!

Once successful, fans received their own personalized GhostBusters license that they could share and enter to win a prize on the Westfields Facebook page.
